I n the late 1950s and early 1960s, the B B C broadcast a series of television programmes called ' R ailway R oundabout', featuring train lines which proved to be on the point of closure and locomotives that were about to disappear forever.

 T his fascinating D V D takes on a D istinct I sle O f W ight flavour, with highlights including various I sle of W ight engines and a journey from R yde to Ve ntnor. T he ' C ambrian C oast E xpress' is also captured on film along with images of S outhern R egion trains at S eaton J unction and the J ones' ' G oods' to K yle of L ochalsh train. T he B luebell line in its early preserved form is featured as are the ex- M R locomotives of K irtley and J ohnson.
