Classic scenes from the celebrated BBC Television series...
In the late 1950s and early 1960s, the BBC broadcast a series of television programmes called 'Railway Roundabout', featuring train lines which proved to be on the point of closure and locomotives that were about to disappear forever . Highlights of this fascinating DVD include two "Dukedogs" to Barmouth and the "T9" to Tavistock. Viewers are treated to a visit to Perth Shed and Cromford and H igh P eak lines. The repainted ex GN of SR "Gordon Highlander" on the S pey V alley line is a wonderful sight. Then we travel South East to view trains at Newcastle upon Tyne and trains at st="on">York (including the old museum).
